Fraction simplification

How to simplify fractions?

A alloyed amount consists of an accumulation followed by a able fraction.

Example: The abnormal atom 8/5 can be afflicted to the alloyed amount 1 3/5 by adding the numerator (8) by the denominator (5). This gives a caliber of 1 and a butt of 3. The butt is placed over the divisor (5).

Question : Change the afterward abnormal fractions into alloyed Fractions:

a) 5/3 = 1 2/3

b) 11/2 = 5 1/2

c) 45/23 = 1 22/23

d) 13/5 = 2 3/5

Rectangle

Diagonal of a rectangle:

The Breadth of the rectangle blueprint is Breadth = breadth * width.

When barometer the breadth of any figure, the units for the breadth will be aboveboard units. In the blueprint for the breadth of a rectangle, breadth and amplitude are multiplied. If breadth and amplitude were both abstinent in yards, the artefact would be abstinent in yards squared.

The diagonals of a rectangle bifurcate anniversary added and are equal.

The Diagonal of a rectangle =

Linear Formula

Using the linear interpolation formula, find the equation for the given coordinates (6, 8) and (10, 16)

Sol:

Given coordinate values are (x0, y0) and (x1, y1) are (6, 8) and (10, 16).

y = y0 + (x- x0)

y = 8 + (x -6)

y = 8 + (x - 6) (8/4)

y = 8 + (x - 6)(2)

y = 8 + 2x - 12

y = 2x -12 + 8

y = 2x - 4

2x -y = 4 (or)

2x - y - 4 = 0.
